Poppy Seed Torte
 

5  eggs

1 cup oil

1 cup sugar

1.5 cups water or juice or milk

1.5 cups self-raising flour (or all purpose flour + 2 teaspoon baking powder)

2 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup poppy seed, ground

1 cup walnuts, ground

 

   

Beat egg white till stiff. First add sugar, then gradually fold in all other ingredients.

bake in a round, well geased baking pan in 350F about 45 minutes, till golden.

insert a toothpick to test doneness.
