Popovers

1 cup milk

1 Tbl. butter, melted

1 cup unshifted all-purpose flour

¼ teas. salt

2 eggs

 

Combine and beat just until smooth first 4 ing.

Add eggs one at a time but do not overbeat;

(mixture will not be perfectly smooth).

Divide the batter mixture evenly among six well-greased popover cups, (about 3/4 full).

Preheat oven to 450F.

Bake for 15 minutes

Reduce heat to 350F and bake 20 minutes longer.

 

to test doneness, remove one popover and make sure side walls are firm. Bake a bit longer if needed.

 

Serve hot.
