Hungarian Plum Cake

150 g + 2 tablespoons sugar

115 g pure butter

125 g flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Pinch of salt

2 eggs

500 g of pitted prunes

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

2. Mix 150 g sugar and butter with a hand mixer until soft. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the sieve. Then first add the eggs, then the flour mixture above, to the dough until completely smooth.

3. Divide the dough into approx. 26 cm lightly oiled cake mold. On top of the dough, press the plums firmly with the cut side up.

4. Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle the plums with it. Bake in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, until the toothpick does not come out clean.

Difficulty: Easy Preparation Time: 55 minutes (Assemble: 15 minutes, Cook Time: 40 minutes) 8 servings
