Falafel

1 lb dry chickpeas

large bunch of parsley

2 onions, chopped

10 garlic cloves, mushed

1/4 cup water

1.5 tablespoons grounded cumin

2 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 teaspoon katzach (or black sesame)

1.5 tablespoons salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

 

Soak dry chickpeas in lots of water overnight

Discard soaking water and place the chickpeas in a food processor. add all other ingredients.

Process till all combine to a dough-like paste.

Spoon small balls (I used a small melon/ice cream

dispenser)

 

In deep oil:

Form the patties and fry in heated to 375F. Once they are golden brown, remove with a slotted spoon to a paper towel-lined plate. Fry in small batches.

In an oven:

Bake in 400f oven till golden brown.

In air fryer:

bake at 400f for about 10 minutes, open and shake the air fryer basket. continue to bake another 4 minutes.
